VATICAN: POPE: SPOKE TO COUNCI FOR CULTURE

The Church wants to talk with everyone in search for truth, but for the dialogue to be effective you need a precise language. Pope Benedict was speaking to the Plenary Assembly of the Pontifical Council for Culture, which focused on communication and new languages. The Holy Father spoke about the idea of there being a "Court of the Gentiles" in which the Church can communicate faith and dialogue with the contemporary world, and how this is taking place in different parts of Europe. The Pope also warned about an educational crisis affecting young people when they fall into traps laid out by a media which can be manipulative. He says the Church must respond with creativity and intelligence. And be committed to promote communications that stimulate critical thinking and the ability to evaluate and discern.
