Mourners have packed the Tahmoor Catholic Church in the NSW Southern Highlands to farewell a teenage boy who was allegedly murdered by a relative of serial killer Ivan Milat in the Belanglo State Forest, reports the Herald Sun.David Auchterlonie's funeral service drew hundreds of his devastated family and friends. He was killed on his 17th birthday on November 20, by an axe wound to the back of his head.

"You grew into a handsome young man with your beautiful big eyes and your loving and caring personality," his mother Donna Locke said.

His father David Snr said David was a cherished big brother to his five younger siblings.

"He was a gentle big brother always willing to look over them," Mr Auchterlonie said.

He had gone into the forest with three friends on that Saturday night, but did not come out alive.

A relative of Ivan Milat, and two other males, have been arrested and refused bail over the alleged murder.
