AUSTRALIA: DIOCESE HOSTS A BABY WORKSHOP FOR PARENTS

Bringing Baby Home News Story
Bringing baby home...fostering your baby's development.

CatholicCare Social Services - Diocese of Parramatta is holding a Bringing Baby Home workshop over two Saturdays (29 October and 5 November), helping new parents and expectant couples strengthen their relationships with and foster their baby’s development.

After completing the BBH program, you will have the skills to create a caring and nurturing environment in your home and have the tools to cope with conflict in positive ways.

Throughout the BBH workshop, you can expect to gain the following skills:

  • Learn what to expect during your transition into parenthood
  • Have the skills to strenghten friendship, intimacy, communication and conflict resolution skills with your partner
  • Increase your knowledge about child development and hot to co parent with your partner

Topics include:

  • Conflict
  • Preserving intimacy and romance
  • The importance of fathers
  • Positive interaction with your baby

The program utilises various learning tools such as group discussions, interactive excersises and DVDs.

Couples are welcomed to bring their baby if required. We ask, however, that older siblings do not attend.
