Pope Francis will hold an ordinary public consistory of cardinals in the Vatican March 15, during which he will sign the decree for the canonization of Blessed Mother Teresa of Kolkata and four others.  The dates and venue  of their sainthood ceremony are expected to be declared at the consistory.  Pope Francis had officially cleared Blessed Mother Teresa for sainthood on Dec. 17, 2015, recognizing the miraculous healing through her intercession of a Brazilian man with multiple brain abscesses.   Mother Teresa was conferred the title Blessed in Rome, Italy, on October 19, 2003, after Pope St. John Paul II recognized  the miraculous healing of an Indian woman with a tumour in her abdomen.
Born Agnes Gonxha Bojaxhiu‎ of Albanian parents on ‎August 26, 1910, in Skopje, in what ‎is ‎Macedonia today, Mother Teresa died in Kolkata, formerly Calcutta, on September 5, ‎‎1997.  ‎Affectionately known as the "saint of the gutter" for her unconditional ‎love ‎for the poor, abandoned and the marginalized, she earned several international honours, including ‎the ‎Nobel Peace Prize in 1979. ‎

Only saved sinners get into heaven. The Bible clearly teaches that anyone who is born again is a saint. JH.3 Jesus said by the testimony of two witnesses these things bear truth. No where at any time did *Mother Teresa testify of her conversion, or the day she was born again. Actually on her death bed she questioned the very exsistance of God. Sounds to me she wasn't a true Christian. The Lord said: we shall be judged by our own mouths, and every idol word men speak.
Ye worship Ye know not what!!!

Eyeroll...no one is saying that Catholics have a corner on sainthood. It's simply a way we recognize great men and women in the Catholic church. We also have a title called Doctor of the Church; doesn't mean they're physicians.

Carlo, actions speak louder than words. How many poorest of the poor could you minister to if you were going through a trial of faith? She spent her life, offered her life, vowed her life to God serving the poor for the love of God whom she saw with the eyes her faith, hoping against hope like our father Abraham that the promises of God would be fulfilled. Have you read the story of God's covenant with Abraham? Like Abraham, she surrendered her all to God and He was so bright in her soul that the very light of God within her blinded her because she was of human nature. Only one who is completely given and surrendered to God can continue to serve day after day bringing hope to the hopeless because it is no longer she who lives bringing the light of God, bu God lives in her serving her fellow man through the will and the body she offered him each day of her life. It is an awesome thing to be in the hands of God. And who can know the mind and heart of Almighty God? Can you? We must thank God that He sustained this little woman in her life long service to humanity, being poor and hungry like those she served; who was a light in the darkness for the sick, suffering and dying. Can you understand what that is like? Have you tried to give yourself completely to God as He gave Himself for us on the cross? Did you know that God wants us to show Him our love, too? God became one of us and was like us in everything except sin. He came to show us what God is like and to follow Him, to serve Him, to love Him by loving others like He does. Mother Teresa gave God her body, soul, service, love, and all of her imperfections and God transformed her into an instrument of His Love through her free will offering to Him forever. She did not waver in her resolve because God was sustaining her as she went about doing His will despite any difficulties in her soul. She was blessed because she believed that everything God promised to her in the scriptures would be fulfilled no matter the cost, even a trial of faith. Did you not hear the words of Jesus on the cross, My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? The student cannot be greater than the master. Jesus said so. Conversion means to repent and believe the good news of Jesus Christ the Savior. When we really do this from our heart, we will understand our brothers and sisters in Christ who shine like the stars in heaven because they allowed Christ to transform them into His likeness. One who is transformed need not proclaim tha he/she is saved because they live it through their deeds. Jesus said that by their fruits you shall know them. Do you not see her fruits? Ask God to help you help understand what is His will for you. It is between you and God no matter what anyone else may think. Every person has a special journey with Jesus. Do not judge Mother Teresa by your words. She has already been judged by God and that is all that really counts. God bless you.

Carlo, ...What anonymous said above...and How do you know that "No where at any time did *Mother Teresa testify of her conversion, or the day she was born again."? And who are you to judge? Seems as though you're being rather presumptuous. I certainly doubt many of us could minister the way she did while going through the trials (possibly depression?) she experienced and all with the humility and fortitude she did. What an amazing woman. What an amazing faith to continue in spite of her spiritual, emotional, and physical difficulties.

Verily I say unto you "Unless you eat the Flesh of the Son of Man and drink His Blood you have no life in you. For my Flesh is food indeed and my Blood is drink indeed. He who eats My Flesh and drinks My Blood has Eternal Life and I will raise him up on the last day. " Mother Teresa fulfilled this command of Christ almost daily. Jesus's words are enough for me.

God IS and remains the ULTIMATE JUDGE of the lives of all who lived on this earth. Hence, let's withhold our judgements of Blessed Mother Teresa and let's respect that judgement to be of God and God alone.

Over the centuries, the Catholic Church had been, and she still is canonizing saints and rightly so. The Catholic Church had been standing for the past 2000 years and despite her sinfulness - she remained faithful to Christ - as she was founded on Christ and she persevered throughout all the ages.

The Catholic Church has grown steadily especially in Africa and she is now a single Church population of 1.2 billion all over the world. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catholic_Church_by_country

Surely this is a good evidence to show that this establishment is of God - for she has endured and perservered for the past 2000 and is still standing strong.

& the founder of the Catholic Church is Our Lord Jesus Christ.

Amen.

"By their fruit you will recognize them." Matthew 7:20. How can you not recognize Jesus in Mother Teresa?

For Carlo Iaffaldano, I could tell through your comment you're a Protestant and that's why you had delivered that shallow comment to our Mother Teresa. So bad, Catholics and Protestants are both believe in God, but unfortunately Protestants love to judge and pick on a piece of something to criticize others. In addition, Protestant always think they grasp the entire kingdom and superior than other religions. Mother Teresa the whole life never thought about herself in one minute and instead she consecrated her whole life to the poorest the homeless, and not the rich. How dare you questioning about her belief. Only with your mouth saying you love Jesus but no action, that is no life in your faith. Unfortunately, there are so many Protestants just like you put faith in mouth and no action.
By her very life, living the gospel message, picking up dying people that had maggots on them that she herself picked off and gave them back their human dignity. Her life is itself a testimony. God gave me a scripture for you: Luke 7:33 for John the Baptist came not eating bread nor drinking eine and youbsay he has a demon or eating. The Son of Man came eating and drinking and you say here is glutton and a drunkard ,a friend of tax collectors and sinners." The Catholic Church my friend is the Church that all of the other protesters have fallen away from. You would do well to know your Mother, the one universal Church and Mother Teresa as well. Shame on you for detracting from both of them.

Mother was born into the Faith when she was baptized. She professed her salvation in her works and Love that she bore in doing God's will. God Bless you, Carlo.

I am a protestant by faith, living my life, as best I can, by God's grace, according to His Word, which I believe to be innerent, and all the rule for life. However, I see much in common with our Catholic br0thers and sisters, Yes, we have our differences, but we both believe in and serve the Trinity, and both believe that salvation is through Jesus Christ. The Bible says both that faith without works is dead, and no true faith. It also says that we are saved by faith through grace, and that our works do not save us. I think that we as flawed humans have gotten caught up in the semantics of this. We must bear fruit for others to see our faith is real. God alone can judge our hearts. Mother Teresa, was a woman of faith, born out clearly in her sacrificial works. Jesus said, what you do to the least of these, (the poor and oppressed),you do unto Me. She served our Lord with love. I believe I will meet her in heaven, and look forward to it.

Carlo has so much to learn. What little he has he got from the Roman Catholic Church, estalished by Christ on the Apostles.
