ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE BISHOP OF LEGNICA

On the Eucharistic Miracle in St. Jack Parish in Legnica

(translated from Polish)

Sisters and Brothers in Our Lord Jesus Christ!

As The Bishop of Legnica I hereby announce to the public and inform about an event that took place in the parish of St. Jack in Legnica which has the signs of the Eucharistic miracle. On 25th December, 2013 during the distribution of the Holy Communion, a consecrated Host fell to the floor and then was picked up and placed in a water-filled container (vasculum). Soon after, stains of the red colour appeared.  The former Bishop of Legnica, Stefan Cichy, set up a commission to observe the phenomenon. In February 2014, a tiny red fragment of the Host was seperated and put on a corporal. The Commission ordered to take samples in order to conduct the thourough tests by the relevant research institutes.

In the final announcement of the Department of Forensic Medicine we read as follows:  In the histopathological image, the fragments of tissue have been found containing the fragmented parts of the cross striated muscle. (...) The whole (...)  is most similar to the heart muscle with alterations that often appear during the agony. The genetic researches indicate the human origin of the tissue.

In January this year I presented the whole matter to the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith in the Vatican. Today, according to the recommendations of the Holy See, I ordered the parish vicar Andrzej Ziombro to prepare a suitable place for a display of the Relic so that the faithful could give it the proper adoration. Hereby, I also ask for providing the visitors with information and conducting the regular teaching that could help the faithful to have the proper attitude to the eucharistic cult. I also command to form a book to register all received benefits and other miraculous events.

I hope that this will serve to deepen the cult of the Eucharist and will have deep impact on the lives of people facing the Relic. We see the misterious Sign as an extraordinary act of love and goodness of God, who comes to humans in ultimate humiliation.

I cordially ask for your prayer and I bless you

+ Zbigniew Kiernikowski

The text of the announcement for those who may speak Polish:

KOMUNIKAT BISKUPA LEGNICKIEGO

w sprawie wydarzenia o znamionach cudu eucharystycznego w parafii św. Jacka w Legnicy

Siostry i Bracia w Chrystusie Panu!
+ Zbigniew Kiernikowski

nonetheless brothers, it's the miracle of the Lord's Heart that's important here, not the location.

I am glad to learn that there is a St Jack, and that there is a church dedicated to him.
My father's name was Jack.

Good morning,

Hope all are doing well.

Seems the same thing happened in Utah last year, around the same time. It was red bread mold.

"In November of 2015, it was alleged that a consecrated host (communion bread wafer) from Saint Francis Xavier Church in Kearns, Utah, appeared to be bleeding. A thorough investigation has concluded that the host did not bleed, but the change of appearance in the host was due to red bread mold. The consecrated host has been disposed of in a reverent manner, as is required."

@ Deborah;
What you are stating is TRUE. The difference is that the Consecrated Host in Poland has been lab-tested (according to the article) and what was posted on the article was the result of the lab test.

In Lanciano, Italy the same thing happened and the medical results are posted in the church museum...stating that the tissue that developed from the Consecrated Host is from the left ventricle of the heart. If you google "THEW MIRACLE OF LANCIANO" a lot of info is available to the searcher. This happened in the 1200s. The blood analysis report(the blood separated from the flesh) is of the same blood group as the blood analysis of the Shroud. I've tried to post the page with the results of the Lanciano test...but it doesn't allow posting of pictures.

With this post I'm simply trying to draw the similarity between the new incident and the one that happened 800 or so years ago.

There is a great deal of information on the Eucharistic miracle of Buenos Aires available on the internet. The results of forensic tests on that host are very similar to those from Poland. The bishop who initiated the scientific investigation on that Eucharistic miracle was the present Pope

I think the host should be provided to multiple laboratories, some of which are located in a different country, with a more secular perspective. I find the results as communicated somewhat unconvincing. If you are stating that a miracle is present, the amount of background data must be extremely rigorous to support such a claim. No one would like the results to be positive more than me, but I find the types of testing that are done for these type of events to be lacking.

I don't think you're entirely familiar with the extensive vetting process that takes place before the Church declares finally on a potentially miraculous event. The Bishop of the Diocese is the first to investigate and test. The Vatican may order additional testing and verification. Please look into the extensive testing that has been done with respect to many Catholic miracles. It is far more probing than many faked scientific experiments that are showing up all over the place to garner funding and for other fraudulent purposes.
